Last updated: September 15, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Earncrypto ("Earncrypto", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you use our website and services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, you should not use the Services.

Note: Certain tax details are collected only if legally required (e.g., after exceeding applicable thresholds). Most users will never be asked to provide these details.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Earncrypto operates rewards and survey services that allow users to earn cryptocurrency and other rewards. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and profile data: username, email address, password hash, country, and optional profile details such as name and address.
  • Tax and verification data (US only, when required): information needed for tax reporting and identity verification in limited cases.
  • Wallet and payout data: cryptocurrency wallet addresses you provide, payout preferences, and redemption history.
  • Offer, survey, and activity data: eligibility attributes you provide (for matching surveys/offers), completion status, timestamps, and postback confirmations from partners.
  • Referral data: referral codes/IDs and attribution information when you invite friends or join via a referral link.
  • Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and similar diagnostic data.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used (e.g., quizzes, videos), and interactions with our Services.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: identifiers stored on your browser that help us recognize your device, prevent fraud, remember preferences, and personalize content.

Children: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete the account and information.

3. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide, maintain, and personalize the Services, including matching you to relevant surveys/offers.
  • Process redemptions and rewards, including cryptocurrency payouts.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and enforce our Terms.
  • Communicate with you about your account, rewards, important updates, and—if you opt in—newsletters or promotions.
  • Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax reporting, lawful requests) and maintain appropriate records.

If you are in the EEA/UK, our legal bases for processing include: (i) contract (to provide the Services), (ii) legitimate interests (e.g., fraud prevention, service improvement, personalization consistent with your expectations), (iii) consent for non-essential cookies and certain marketing, and (iv) legal obligations (e.g., tax, accounting, law enforcement requests).

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, analyze usage, combat fraud, and tailor content. You can control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may impact site functionality. For interest-based advertising choices, visit aboutads.info/choices and networkadvertising.org/choices.

5. Third-party partners

We work with offerwalls, survey routers, video networks, ad networks, analytics, and fraud prevention providers. Depending on the offer/survey type, we may share a unique user ID and relevant eligibility attributes so partners can determine availability and credit completions. Partners may also collect data directly on their sites according to their own policies. Representative partners include:

  • Survey and offer providers: various offerwalls and routers (we share a unique ID and, for surveys, the eligibility data you provide to us).
  • Pollfish: This site uses the Pollfish web plugin to check survey eligibility and deliver questionnaires. See the Pollfish Respondent Terms at pollfish.com/terms/respondent and opt-out options at Pollfish or by disabling third-party cookies in your browser.
  • Advertising and analytics: Google (see Google Privacy Policy) and video partners such as EngageMe.tv, Hideout.tv, Smores.tv, Stak.tv.

Each partner has its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for their content or practices. If you have concerns about a partner, contact us and we will review.

6. How we share information

  • Service providers and processors: We share information with vendors who help us operate the Services (hosting, security, fraud prevention, analytics, customer support).
  • Offer/survey partners: As described above, we share limited identifiers and eligibility attributes necessary to provide and credit offers/surveys.
  • Legal and safety: We may disclose information to law enforcement, regulators, or others when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing with ad/analytics partners may be considered "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising" under certain US state laws. See "Your privacy rights" for opt-out options.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. For example:

  • Account information: kept while your account is active and then for a reasonable period for fraud prevention and recordkeeping.
  • Reward, payout, and tax records: retained as required by applicable law (e.g., typically 3–7 years in many jurisdictions).
  • Offer/survey activity logs: retained for dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and audit purposes for a reasonable period.

8. International transfers

We are based in the United States and may process your information in the US and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

  • EEA/UK residents: You have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability.
  • California residents: You have rights under the CCPA/CPRA including to know, access, correct, delete, and to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. To exercise rights, contact us as set out below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To exercise any rights, contact us at [email protected]. We may request information to verify your request. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf where permitted by law.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date above, and/or by other appropriate means.

12. Contact

If you have questions, concerns, or wish to exercise your privacy rights, contact us at [email protected].

13. Categories of personal information (past 12 months)

14. Sources of personal information

  • Directly from you: account registration, profile, payout details, communications, referral activity.
  • Automatically from your device: IP address, device/browser info, usage data, cookies, and similar technologies.
  • From partners: survey routers, offerwalls, video partners, ad/analytics and fraud prevention providers (e.g., completion postbacks, eligibility checks).

15. Sensitive personal information

We only collect limited SPI, such as SSN for US persons who exceed tax reporting thresholds (e.g., $600). We use SPI strictly for legal compliance, do not use it to infer characteristics about you, and do not sell or share SPI.

16. Sale and sharing; targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. We may “share” certain identifiers and device data with advertising/analytics partners to provide or measure personalized advertising, which some US laws define as “sharing” or “targeted advertising.” You may opt out by contacting us at [email protected]. Where supported, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of sharing.

17. Financial incentives (referrals, bonuses)

We may offer referral or engagement bonuses that could be considered a “financial incentive” under US state privacy laws. Participation is voluntary and subject to program terms. We may use identifiers (e.g., username, referral code) and activity/reward data to operate these programs. You can opt in by participating or opt out by not participating (or contacting us). The value of your data is reasonably related to the benefits provided and is estimated based on the cost to administer the program and expected engagement.

18. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. Because there is no industry standard for DNT, we do not respond to DNT signals. Where recognized, we treat Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of “sharing” or “targeted advertising.”

19. Automated decision-making and profiling

We may use automated systems to detect fraud/abuse and to determine eligibility for specific surveys/offers based on the attributes you provide. We do not engage in automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement.

20. Blockchain transparency

If you redeem rewards to a cryptocurrency wallet, note that blockchain transactions are recorded on public ledgers. Your wallet address and transaction details may be publicly viewable via the applicable blockchain. Please consider your privacy when sharing wallet addresses.

21. Region-specific disclosures

  • EEA/UK: You have rights under the GDPR (see Section 9). When we transfer data outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Canada: We process your information with your consent and as otherwise permitted by law. You may request access and correction.
  • Brazil: We process personal data as permitted by the LGPD. You may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, or deletion, as applicable.

22. Data retention schedule

  • Account/profile data: retained while your account is active and for up to 3 years after closure for fraud prevention and recordkeeping (unless a longer period is required by law).
  • Reward, payout, and tax records: typically retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting obligations.
  • Offer/survey activity logs: retained for 24 months for dispute resolution and fraud prevention, unless required longer.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: typically retained for up to 13 months (or shorter, depending on purpose and local laws).

23. How to exercise your rights

Submit a request to [email protected] with your username/email and the right you wish to exercise. We may ask for information to verify your identity. Authorized agents can submit requests where permitted by law. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email; we’ll review and respond within a reasonable period. If you remain dissatisfied, you may lodge a complaint with your local authority (e.g., your state Attorney General or EU Data Protection Authority).

24. Complaints

If you are in the EEA, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. See a list at ec.europa.eu.

25. Additional information

  • Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
